He is the visionary founder of Emudu (SKY) Trekkers, a social enterprise based in Arunachal Pradesh, India. Project/Enterprise
Emudu Trekkers is a pioneering NGO dedicated to making Dibang Valley the trekking hub of Northeast India. Founded by Jimu Mele, the organization operates in one of the most remote parts of India, offering a range of high-altitude treks. Emudu Trekkers has successfully organized over 20 treks, including notable routes such as the Seven Lake trek, Zarumo Trail, Mathu Valley trek, and Athu Popu trek. The enterprise is indigenously owned, managed, and staffed, emphasizing sustainable tourism and community involvement. Through its efforts, Emudu Trekkers is not only promoting adventure tourism but also contributing to the economic development of the local community.
