Shakuntala Marndi from Madan Mohan Pur (Chakli) in Similipal, Odisha, grew up immersed in the rich traditions of weaving and craftsmanship in Mayurbhanj district. Her passion for textiles began with her early encounters with Santali sarees and continued through her professional experience in the apparel export industry. Educated at the National Institute of Design (NID), Shakuntala honed her skills in textile engineering and apparel design, with a focus on sustainable practices. Her work blends tradition with modernity, creating garments that reflect her cultural heritage with authenticity and elegance.
